The GN125 Suzuki was a 1970s–1990s Japanese 125 cc (7.6 cu in) sports bike marketed by Suzuki under the Grand Sport moniker. The bike was introduced in 1974 and underwent a number of design and performance upgrades through its production life.
The bike had a 125 cc (7.6 cu in) inline two-stroke engine and was sold in markets outside Japan as the Grand Sport (or GS). Suzuki also marketed the bike in Japan as the GN, with this version having a 125 cc (7.6 cu in) air-cooled inline two-stroke engine, a higher compression ratio, and higher overall power output. In Japan, Suzuki also marketed a 125 cc (7.6 cu in) version with a four-stroke inline four-cylinder engine. This version had the Suzuki nameplate, but was sold as a Grand Sport Suzuki.
Engine
The GN125 Suzuki engine was a two-stroke inline two-cylinder, air-cooled unit. It had a compression ratio of 7:1 and produced 11 hp (8.2 kW) at 8000 rpm.
Frame and suspension
The GN125 Suzuki had a telescopic fork front suspension and a swingarm rear suspension. The bike weighed 83 kg (183 lb).
